ANTENATAL VISITS AT HOME

All antenatal visits are in your home unless otherwise agreed upon. That means no rushing to appointments, and we visit monthly until 32 weeks.

From 32 weeks, we then move to fortnightly visits until you are 36 weeks.
At 36 weeks, we then transition to weekly visits, monitoring you and your baby until the day of birth.
From 37 weeks, you will have us available 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Having focused support, especially at this time, is invaluable for you and your family’s peace of mind.

DEDICATED TEST SERVICE

During pregnancy there are a number of routine tests and investigations that are offered to you. We do this for you and take care of ensuring that you have prompt results and follow up if required. This can sometimes feel overwhelming to keep track of, so we can help explain any details or help answer any questions or concerns should any additional issues arise.

Health Professionals at hand

If you find that you need some additional support during your pregnancy, we can provide the relevant referral as and when required. We will discuss with you any worries or concerns you might have and provide guidance.

TWO MIDWIVES AT BIRTH

When you are in established labour one of us will be by your side and then both of us will be at your birth. We supply all equipment, including a birth pool plus liner and TENS machine.

Birth is a beautiful journey, and we will make sure you feel nurtured, safe and cared for.

KEEPING YOU COMFORTABLE

We can provide help with keeping you mobile and help support your body as it changes.

We are trained in acuneedling and have lots of advice on how to keep you comfortable, well and healthy, including getting a good night’s sleep.

POST BIRTH CHECK

Having supported you through labour, we will carry out a post-birth baby check within 24 hours and help with feeding initiation. There is a lot happening at this time and having a midwife beside you can help everyone feel relaxed and at ease, all of which help with establishing a comfortable experience for you and your baby.

POSTNATAL CARE AT HOME

Central Coast Homebirth continue to provide care in your home for post-natal visits. We usually come to your home daily until day 3, then day 5, 7, 14 and a finally a 6 week follow up visit.

We can also connect you with local pregnancy/postnatal nutrition experts, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, and massage therapists that specialise in maternal health, women’s circles, parenting coaches and any other support you may benefit from.
